Copyright

HyperDic is a web dictionary, created by Eric Kafe and published by MegaDoc. The editor and the publisher hold the copyright to all the web files included in HyperDic. All rights are reserved.

HyperDic is a derivative work, derived from the original WordNet ® databases. The WordNet databases, software and documentation are developed by the cognitive science laboratory at Princeton University, and Princeton University owns the WordNet copyright.

Additionally, the online version of HyperDic 3.1 contains also Spanish and Catalan synonym sets from the Multilingual Central Repository (MCR), which are subject to the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0) license.

Full Version

The full version of HyperDic is only for personal use. As far as possible, we would like to accomodate your specific needs, so please contact us to discuss commercial licensing.

Free Version

You are hereby granted an unrestricted free license to use, copy and modify MiniDic, the free offline version of HyperDic, under the terms of the standard Artistic License 2. Instructions for obtaining MiniDic can be found on the MiniDic download page.

You may freely copy, mirror and distribute the free MiniDic package, on any medium, without paying any fee to the copyright holder. You may also repackage the provided files for distribution, in uncompressed format, or using any alternative compression method.

If you distribute more than a few copies, you are encouraged (but not required) to notify us through our contact link. We will be happy to set up a hyperlink from hyperdic.net to alternative download sites.

WordNet is subject to its own, totally different license, as documented in WordNet's original copyright notice, included in this release.
